Pr1macard Elite Prepaid MasterCard is designed for individuals who are interested in the superior spending power a MasterCard provides. Being a stored value card, members do not bother about interest rates and credit limit and the card can only be used to pay for goods or services when a deposit has been made. Members who purchase items in a foreign currency are charged a 2% foreign currency transaction fee.
Card members do not pay an annual fee but new members will incur a $12.95 one-time activation fee. Balance transfers are not allowed. Card members are entitled to cash back at participating supermarkets and departmental stores. Members incur a slight monthly maintenance fee.
One of the biggest advantages of having a prepaid card is the ease through which a card member may receive payroll from an employee. This card does not charge on direct deposits.
Online balance inquiries incur no extra charge but balance inquiries at the ATM will incur a $0.40 charge. Card members can also monitor their account balances using paperless statements, and paper statements are charged $10.00. Online bill payment, an easy to use feature used to pay billers using an online interface does not charge card members when using the card, otherwise, a $2.95 charge is applied. Card to card transfers cost $4.95. It costs $10.00 to cancel this card and have a check refund. Card members also enjoy free and unlimited signature transactions.
