Card members are not charged an annual fee. Being that this is a prepaid card with funds available on an as-you-load basis, the risk of accumulating credit card debt or incurring purchase APR doesn't come in.

Card members are protected against liability on unauthorized transactions with Visa Zero Liability program. Online account management lets the parent or child (card member) be up to date on card balance, charges, expenses, and other relating transactions. As teenagers are often on the phone, access to the card account from a mobile phone has been made available

The UPside Visa Prepaid Card comes in two packages. UPside clear is the more basic version of this card while UPside Edge supports ATM access and Upoint reward program.
