GE Capital Retail Bank is refreshing its private credit card deal with ShopNBC.
This has been revealed in a press release where both these companies announced their new multi-year deal for GE capital to keep on providing the TV and online shopping entrance credit cards.
These two companies have been in a business relationship since 2006 when GE Capital started producing the ShopNBC cards. The two companied have built a strong and growing relationship, which has solidified over the years.
The ShopNBC card doesn’t claim any yearly fee and they also facilitate new users by giving them $25 credit when they purchase through the card within the first 30 days of opening their accounts. This credit will be received within the first two billing cycles when the purchases are made. This is one reason why so many people have opted to go for the ShopNBC credit card. Everyone likes the idea of getting free or easy money.
The ShopNBC card has a different APR for different purchases, which is now 26.99 percent. The card holders can enjoy up to $250 of yearly discounts when purchases are made through these cards during special occasions where deals and perks are offered via television and online stores. These perks include free shipping, less interest rates and different financing deals. It’s another reason why so many people have or are interested in getting the card.
A ShopNBC Platinum Rewards Card can also be used for purchases anywhere the MasterCard is accepted. The Shop NBC card however is only valuable for NBC purchases. The APR for the MasterCard varies between 16.74 and 20.74 percent proportionate to its value. The card has no yearly fee but has a maintenance fee of around 2 dollars every month.
ShopNBC is a television shopping network and online retail portal which approaches millions of houses through cable and satellite. The recent press release announced that almost 45% of the company’s purchases had been purchased through internet and mobiles, in the last 12 months. Also the company has made $590million in their total sales during this period.
GE Capital’s Retail Finance division offers both co-branded and private labeled credit cards. The company has a large number of world famous retail partners, including Stein Mart, IKEA, Sam’s Club, The Gap, Dillard’s, Banana Republic, The Men’s Wearhouse, JC Penney, Old Navy, Amazon and Walmart.
