It’s growing convoluted, frustrating and still – no definitive answers are being provided concerning the massive multi billion settlement between retailers and some of the nation’s biggest credit card companies. Here’s where things stand today.

Small business owners often face problems long before they ever even open their doors. They’re often not afforded the same tax incentives and their options are fewer for financing than the larger corporations that are sometimes competing against. But there are a few other statistics, too, that play a role in how well a small business owner fares.

Several months ago, there began an extensive and exhausting assault levied against American banks. These denial of service attacks proved frustrating and overwhelming not only for banks, but for consumers who were often greeted with a message stating they would be unable to access their credit card, checking, mortgage and other accounts due to another attack.

For quite some time, consumers have shopped with more confidence with their credit cards knowing that if their cards are stolen or their accounts hacked, they will have little, if any, of the liability associated with stolen credit.
