Discover Student More Card - Monogram is a credit card designed to suit the interests of students and young adults. It's a credit card that shows the initials of the card member on its front. Card members timely and regular with balance repayments will improve their credit rating over time. Purchase APR is not the lowest out there, but promises to be highly competitive and encouraging to those card members who spend wisely.
An introductory APR period on purchases may apply to those who qualify. Balance transfers and cash advances are a feature on this card that enables card members transfer balance from other cards charging higher interest rates unto this one. Both transactions attract a 3% transaction fee.
On the card reward program, card members earn 1% on virtually all purchase transactions provided the card member spends more than $3,000 in annual purchases. Before reaching $3,000, card members will earn .25% initially, and .50% after the first $1,500. Online transactions through ShopDiscover receive cash back bonuses between 5% - 20% from select retailer sites.
Card members redeem cash earned for cash, merchandise, and gift certificates in $20 increments. Card members redeem rewards double the value of cash earned with over 80 participating cash back retailers. There's no limit to cash back bonuses earnable within a yearly period. Cash bonuses earned do not expire.
Card members are not subject to an annual fee.
Online account management comes at no extra cost. Using this feature, members are able to stick to budget, keep an eye out for unauthorized transactions, and request increased credit lines. Secure online account numbers help conceal the real credit card number for added protection when purchasing items online. Fraudulent use of the card account is insured through a zero fraud liability protection guarantee. Discover sends email reminders to help members avoid late fees.
