Facecard Prepaid MasterCard for college students is simply the best prepaid card available. As with all prepaid cards there is no risk of going into debt or large overdraft fees because you can only spend the money you have loaded onto the card. It is safer than carrying cash because if cash is lost or stolen, it is gone, but the Facecard gives you a simple process to block unauthorized purchases. You also get easy online account management 24/7 and you can get emails automatically when there is account activity.
With worldwide ATM access and validity any place a MasterCard is accepted it is the perfect way to carry cash when you travel. This is especially good for college students who travel abroad in the summer. They will never have to wait in long lines in banks or bureaus of exchange. Another benefit is that you can have your paycheck deposited directly onto your debit card and bypass bank lines and check cashing charges every week. You can pay your bills with it too and you can set it up to happen automatically so you never miss a payment.
There are many other benefits including sending card to card money for free. This is great for gifts, to pay back loans and a way for parents to give cash from a distance. There are digital incentives or coupons that are automatically added to your card. You can use these at restaurants, stores and other places. If you have a $5 coupon from your favorite restaurant and the bill is $50, you will only be deducted $45 from your Facecard.
There are small fees for an inactive account, using an ATM, replacement cards, closing the card, negative balance and other services. All the fees are clearly stated and there are no hidden charges when you use the card. There is no monthly fee, no loading fee, and no card to card transfer of funds fee. It is one of the least costly debit cards available and the best way for a student to keep track of their spending money. Except for the $1.50 ATM fee and the $.50 international purchase fee, you can avoid the other fees as long as you use the card properly and don't lose it. It is great to have the use of plastic to purchase online or rent a car without the fear or going into debt.
